Educational Robotics holds the potential to promote development of important 21st century skills, such as creativity and problem-solving skills in addition digital literacy. However, emergence Covid-19 pandemic has posed particular obstacles that had be overcome order allow activities conducted distance learning. In first place, obligation work from home limited access required equipment for many students. Secondly, teachers face novel challenge creating pedagogically meaningful online learning formats. Aiming address these challenges, this explored maker-based approaches a way implement The devised tools were evaluated two case studies performed with (i) high school students participating mobile robotics summer (ii) in-service attending professional course on Robotics. teachers' students' perception proposed was analyzed using surveys video interviews. findings showed combination allowed explore basics while helping them develop maker mindset. use ubiquitous construction materials affordable electronic components promotes accessibility approach. may therefore provide an exemplary framework more general applications go beyond context emergency remote teaching.
